"Gay Pride Parade - June 27th, 1999!"
It was great! We were there and here's the photographic evidence!

Headed off by a local Pagan family carrying our flag (see above), we marched down Hennepin Avenue to an enormous amount of cheering and waving. It was stunning. I'd attended parades before and I swear to you, I've rarely seen anyone get such a positive response as we did while marching. (By the way, the fellah in the purple robes with the sign is Sylvan SilverNight. The sign says "For All Acts Of Love Are My Rituals..."


Following the lead in the Parade was my car decked out with a cauldron on top and two banners - one on each side. The car was driven by a friend's boyfriend who -while not a Pagan- did a great job at helping us proudly show our support for the GLBT community. Following up the rear, holding the pride sign, are state representatives Lucinda Huset (Moonchaser) and Michael Sichmeller.

Towards the last third of the route, we even had a few folk run out and join us on the last leg of the march ... including a couple young, Pagan children... It was a great experience all around! So, should we do this again next year? I think so...
